Annual Family Picnic 11th November 2023

Three different pictures showing child wth mud, the VisAbility band Grand Delusions and two Guide Dogs.
So many activities and entertainment to enjoy – including a mud workshop!

Our annual Family Picnic is open to people living with vision impairment, VisAbility clients, their family and friends.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, build friendships with like-minded people and enjoy new experiences. Channel your inner hippo and get messy with a sensory mud workshop created especially for us by Educated by Nature (link opens in new window).

Let your kids enjoy mud, glorious mud in all its squelchy, sloppy form! They can make their own unique sculptures, while you create a mug, plate or bowl.
It’s time for you and your child to nurture that creative streak. All items made can be taken home. Younger children can indulge in free flowing mud play – which means lots of mess. You may want to bring a spare set of clothes.

Grab a free hot dog from our sausage sizzle, sit back and soak up the music from our vision impaired band ‘Grand Delusions’. Find out more about blind sports with demonstrations by Blind Sports WA (link opens in new window). Browse the crafts made by vision impaired clients from our Community Activity Centre. Plus, face painting, garden games, Guide Dogs and more!

Where: VisAbility, 61 Kitchener Avenue, Victoria Park
