This March, people with low or no vision can cast their votes at VisAbility. Teaming up with one of the Western Australia Electoral Commission’s mobile polling teams, VisAbility will host an Accessible polling place for the upcoming WA State Election.

The VisAbility polling place is exclusively for people with vision impairment. Capacity limits apply at this venue.
Members of the general public are encouraged to vote on Election Day; 8 March, at their local polling place, or visit www.elections.wa.gov.au for other options.
Benefits of an accessible polling place
- Designated date, time and place for people with vision impairment, meaning fewer voters and less foot traffic and smaller space to navigate
- Safe and accessible environment, with assistive technology equipment and support available on the day
- Trained VisAbility and WAEC staff available to support the use technology to vote
Phone Assisted Voting
The WA Electoral Commission provides voting by phone during the 2025 State Election to eligible electors who are unable to vote by traditional means without assistance. People with vision impairment are eligible to apply for Phone Assisted Voting.
Applications for phone assisted voting and phone assisted voting opening and closing dates for 2025 WA State Election: 24 February to 4pm Saturday 8 March. To apply to vote by phone call: 136 800 (phoning within Australia).
Please note ballots may contain a high number of candidates. If you require the list of candidates to be read to you, it is recommended to use the Phone Assisted Voting option rather than attending a polling place to make your vote. The VisAbility polling place will not be offering support with Phone Assisted Voting.

Important Parking Notice
On Saturday 1 March 2025 there will be scheduled works on the Armadale train line. From 1-15 March, no trains will be running between Perth and Victoria Park. There will be a rail replacement bus service during these dates. For more information, visit the Transperth Website.
Perth Transport Authority also requires access to the visitor’s carpark opposite our main building on Kitchener Avenue and will be setting up a crane in the south end of the carpark.
On Saturday 1 March only, you are welcome to park in Staff Carpark A, located to the right of the Main Entry on Kitchener Avenue.
Please note:
- The Carpark gates are locked by 7pm, please remove your car before this time.
- Future parking in this car park is restricted to staff only. People without a permit who park in Carpark A in the future will attract a fine from the Town of Victoria Park.
